We're super proud of our A Team skater Trisha Smackanawa for making the 31 skater training squad for Team England! We know Smack is going to work ridiculously hard to make the final cut to make it to Dallas for the Blood & Thunder World Cup and we wish her the best of luck.

Team England is lucky to have her!

A huge congrats to our Head Ref Shref for being selected to ref at the Men's Roller Derby World Cup in Birmingham in March. We're sure that he'll do an exceptional job of keeping those boys in line for the weekend!

If you're interested in keeping Dublin Roller Derby in line (either as an on skates referee or a non-skating official) email Werdz at, we're always looking for more zebras & flamingos for our dazzle and flamboyance (yes, a group zebra is a dazzle and a flamboyance of flamingo)!

2013: What A Season

29-Dec-13 18:47

2013 has been Dublin Roller Derby's most ambitious season yet. Both A and B teams playing their toughest seasons to date (Head Coach Violent Bob has a write up on our bouting season below), achieving WFTDA apprentice, hosting bootcamps, learning from some of the world's best skaters that came to coach us, growing our league with 2 fresh meat intakes, and changing our name - all between training for the after parties! We couldn't have done it without all the support from all our friends, families, the European roller derby community and fans. Thanks to all of you for the most amazing 2013 DRD could have asked for!
